How It All Started
Chartered: 01 July 2012
A Vision Born in Usilampatti
The Rotary Club of Usilampatti was formally chartered on 1st July 2012, under the guidance of Rotary International District 3000. The founding ceremony was graced by the District Governor Rtn. Thiru S. Rajendiran and senior district officials who shared the vision of what this club could become.
The club was inaugurated at a memorable function that brought together local community leaders, educators, medical professionals, and business persons. Our founding president Rtn. P. Manikandan and the founding board laid the groundwork for what would become a legacy of healthcare, education, and community welfare.

Club Inauguration Ceremony
On 1st July 2012, the Rotary Club of Usilampatti (Charter No. 15947, R.I. District 3000) was formally inaugurated. The ceremony was graced by District Governor Rtn. S. Rajendiran, District Judge Thiru M. Mayandi, and Tahsildar Selvi K. Santhi, along with members of sister Rotary clubs and well-wishers.

Book Distribution to Students
Books and study materials are handed directly to students during the inauguration day distribution drive. The newly chartered club wasted no time in putting its education mission into action — on its very first day of service, young learners in Usilampatti walked away with the tools they needed to succeed in school and beyond.

A Laptop for a Brighter Future
A laptop is presented to a deserving student by club members during the early days of the club’s service journey. Recognising that modern education goes beyond textbooks, the Rotary Club of Usilampatti took a forward-thinking step by equipping young minds with digital tools — opening doors to a world of learning, opportunity, and possibility.

Books & Study Materials Distributed
Club members distribute books and educational materials to students in a follow-up drive, continuing the momentum built during the inauguration celebrations. With every book handed over, the Rotary Club of Usilampatti reaffirmed its founding promise — that no child in this community would be left behind for lack of resources, and that service to education would remain a cornerstone of the club’s mission for years to come.
